► DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM PACKAGES?
Yes! If you’re looking for something specific please let us know! No two couples are the same and we get that! Please note, that we currently require a minimum investment of $300.
► DO YOU PRICE MATCH?
It depends.
Many factors play into how each photographer prices their services. For example, years of experience and the cost of running their business typically play a fairly large role in their pricing structure. For each photographer, these numbers all look different, hence why you’ll find prices from very low to extremely high. If you find a better deal but would rather work with us, feel free to reach out and let us know. We can not guarantee we’ll be able to match the other photographer, but we’re always happy to work with our clients to come up with the best deal for them. As mentioned above, we require a minimum investment of $300
► When booking a surprise proposal can our families join in?
Typically, our packages are designed for two people only. However, we can make exceptions depending on the specifics of your plan. Please include details about family involvement in your inquiry, and we will inform you if an additional fee applies or if one of our family packages would be a better fit for your needs.
► DO YOU PICK WHICH IMAGES COME WITH OUR PACKAGE?
We do not. Once your session has been edited we will upload it to a private online gallery for you to make your selections on which images you would like.
►HOW MANY IMAGES WILL THERE BE FOR US TO SELECT FROM?
Image selection will vary from one session to the next. On average, a shorter session duration results in fewer images to select from. For example, a 30-minute session will typically have between 50 and 100 images for you to choose from, while a 60-minute session will usually have 100 to 200+.
► WHAT TIME OF DAY IS BEST FOR OUR SESSION?
This will vary slightly depending on your location choice. For example, if you want your session on the beach then we suggest scheduling your session for either sunrise or sunset. This is when lighting will be optimal for beach portraits. Sunrise is more unpredictable regarding lighting because it solely depends on the cloud coverage that morning. Sunset guarantees you at least 10 to 15 minutes of the perfect light.
► WHERE SHOULD WE HAVE OUR SESSION?
Most of our clients are looking for beach portraits. There are many beautiful beaches in the area to choose from. Our personal favorite is Huntington Beach State Park in scenic Murrells Inlet, SC. This park offers 3 miles of unspoiled beachfront that is surrounded by lush dunes, saltwater marshes, and the historic Atalaya Castle. Our second choice would be Myrtle Beach State Park. Although generally more busy than Huntington, this park also has a lovely beach, a rustic boardwalk, and an iconic pier.
If you are looking for locations other than the beach, we’re happy to suggest alternative locations.
► WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Again, this will vary slightly depending on your location choice. Our suggestion is to consider choosing a color palette of 2-6 complementary colors and building outfits around those colors. Avoid busy patterns that can be visually distracting, and instead choose simple pieces that will stand the test of time. The goal is to complement each other's outfits while still standing out as individuals. Check out our Pinterest Board for inspiration.
► WHAT ARE YOUR POLICIES?
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY: CLIENT agrees to arrive promptly for their scheduled session. If the CLIENT is more than 15 minutes late, the session may be shortened at the photographer's discretion without a reduction in fees. If the delay impacts the quality or quantity of images captured, SLL Photography will not be held liable. Additionally, if the CLIENT is more than 15 minutes late and the session cannot proceed as planned, it may be treated as a no-show, resulting in forfeiture of the retainer fee and requiring a new retainer to book a future session.
WEATHER and WIND POLICIES: Sessions may be rescheduled in cases of inclement weather at the discretion of SLL Photography. Sessions will proceed in windy conditions unless wind speeds exceed 15 mph. CLIENT is responsible for arriving prepared with appropriate attire and grooming adjustments to mitigate wind effects.
RESCHEDULING and CANCELLATION: CLIENT may reschedule their session one (1) time without penalty. Subsequent reschedules may require an additional retainer fee. Retainers are non-refundable, and cancellation by the CLIENT will result in forfeiture of the retainer.
REFUND POLICY: Refunds are available only in cases where dissatisfaction arises from factors within SLL Photography's control. External factors, such as weather, location, or CLIENT behavior, do not constitute grounds for a refund. The CLIENT must notify SLL Photography within 24 hours of their selection gallery being posted with any concerns or dissatisfaction. Failure to do so within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the delivered images.
RETAINER and PAYMENT SCHEDULE POLICY: A non-refundable retainer of $150 is required at the time of booking to secure the session date. The remaining balance is due in full on the session date. The retainer fee is non-refundable except under the circumstances listed below. In all other cases, the retainer is considered liquidated damages and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation, rescheduling by the CLIENT for a second time, or breach of contract by the CLIENT.
The retainer fee is non-refundable except under the following circumstances:
Cancellation by SLL Photography: If SLL Photography cancels the session due to unforeseen circumstances and is unable to reschedule, the retainer will be refunded in full.
Mutual Agreement to Reschedule Without Availability: If both parties agree that rescheduling is necessary and no mutually agreeable date is available, the retainer will be refunded.
Weather-Related or Acts of God: If the session is canceled due to severe weather conditions, natural disasters, or other acts of God that make proceeding unsafe or impractical, and no mutually agreeable reschedule date is available, the retainer will be refunded.
