I'll be honest as a photographer myself, I have never trusted a photographer that I didn't know to capture my memories. But after my regular photographer had a family emergency and could not join me on this trip, I was left searching and a little scared. I found Nikki and Neal of Something Like Life totally on a fluke searching Facebook, while enduring a 9 hour car ride. I messaged her and immediately we "Clicked." We talked gear and ideas. Folks, let me tell ya, I'm picky. I'm my own worst critic as a photographer and wanted to make sure I was hiring a TRUE pro. I didn't want to be disappointed or upset with my decision because for this there was no "do overs."
Nikki embraced my idea and "theme"! She ran with it and she didn't just make the day easy, she captured truly AMAZING images of me and my husband. This session is very special and we needed our true personalities to shine. Boy did they ever! These were not your run of the mill "pictures at the beach." No we went WAY out of the box and went to a local go-kart track. Somewhere she had never been and with the hurricane just coming through, she couldn't scout the location. So for sight unseen with clients she didn't even get to meet beforehand, SHE ROCKED!!! I can't praise them or thank them enough! These images will be a HUGE part of our future journey!!!
